
Judge Romeo Marasigan
1931-2009
Judge Romeo D. Marasigan passed away on November 3, 2009 due to heart attack.
Judge Marasigan was born in Alcala, Cagayan, Philippines on October 6, 1931. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ateneo de Tuguegarao and his Law degree from Manuel L. Quezon College of Law in Manila on 1955. Prior to serving as a Regional Trial Court Judge of Davao City, he was a Municipal Judge of Digos, Davao del Sur from 1975 to 1987. He retired as a Regional Trial Court Judge of Davao City in 1998.
Judge Marasigan started his career as a practicing lawyer in Bansalan and was the Municipal Attorney of Bansalan from 1960-1965. From 1966-1970, he was a Municipal Judge of Matanao, Davao del Sur and was a Circuit Judge of Matanao and Hagonoy from 1970 to 1975.
Judge Marasigan was a tireless campaigner for justice. He was professional, fair and honest in his dealings. He worked diligently to bring about a better appreciation for justice in Davao del Sur and the city of Davao. He will be remembered by colleagues for his great enthusiasm, personal dedication, dependability and exceptional work ethics. He will also be missed for his friendship, sense of humor and the support that he provided to colleagues and partners.
Most of all, he will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and a wonderful father. He is survived by his wife Ruth, his daughters; Kathleen and Jocelyn, and son, Romeo.
Funeral services was held on November 10, 2009 at the Lady of Lourdes Church in Bangkal, Davao City.

Virgie Guinoo-Coruna
Virgie who was fondly called "Bobot" passed away on March 3, 2008 at a young age of 56 due to pancreatic cancer. She was a Lincensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New Jersey. Virgie was the daughter of the late Emilio and Elisea Guinoo. Emilio was a pioneering businessman in Bansalan once owning a local sawmill and a chain of theaters in Mindanao.
Virgie is survived by husband Matias and children: Christopher Abraham, 38; Abraham Avery, 37; and Christine, 20. Funeral services was held on March 7, 2008. Messages can be left at: c3banal45@aol.com
