Lalay's Updates: "Give Back: Literacy Campaign"

1) Mabuhay Elementary School

Tune Sonza Inumerable already identified her sister-in-law Mrs. Angeles as the contact person for Mabuhay. Tune is supporting 10 children in her barangay. Thanks Tune. Ana Marie (Tata) and Angeles are scheduling a meeting with the local barangay council to present the project. She will explain to the council the Dugong Elementary School model and the matching fund provided by the Dugong (M'lang, North Cotabato ) barangay council. The matching fund is actually to encourage the council to also sponsor 10 children (or any number of pupils they can afford) to match Tune's scholars.

2) Dolo Elementary School

Ana Marie and Charlie already met and discussed about the scholars in Dolo. They will also present the project to Dolo barangay council and explore the possibility for matching fund.

3) Dugong Elementary School

With the scholars of Nes and Ceny Duldulao and Damayan Netherlands , the Dugong Barangay Council agreed to sponsor 20 additional pupils under the matching fund agreement. Dugong Barangay Council is now supporting about 40 children as their counterpart. During my visit in Bansalan in June, a meeting will be arranged in Dugong to be attended by the scholars, teachers, parents, and members of the Barangay council.

Ana Marie and I agreed to schedule visits to all the schools where ABW scholars are located . I will try to make pictures of the children, parents and the schools. Ana Marie is busy finalizing the registration forms of the scholars. I will also ask her to prepare the list of all scholars to include some information: name, grade, area, sponsors, etc. for your information

We also agreed that during the meetings in Dolo, Mabuhay, Bansalan Central and Dugong, Ana Marie will explain to them about the ABW  project  including the ABW Literacy project.
