June 7, 2008 was a happy day for ABW scholars who received their backpack with school supplies. The distribution of supplies was held at the Cagas-Noel gym through the leadership of ABW officers, Anna Marie Noel and Randy Albores. These ABW scholars will be attending Bansalan Central Elementary School. School supplies were also distributed to ABW Scholars in the barrios of Mabuhay and Dolo.

The ABW Literacy project is an annual undertaking supported by contributions of Bansalenos and friends around the world with counterpart from Damayan-Netherlands. This counterpart which greatly augmented the donations is realized through the efforts of ABW president Lalay Noel-Rispens.
