Henry is a writer, columnist, journalist, photographer, editor, and non-governmental organization worker.
He has received more than a dozen journalism awards, including the Journalist of the Year (from the Rotary Club of Manila) and Hall of Fame in science reporting (from Philippine Press Institute). He was honored as one of the outstanding Bansaleños in 1999 together with Jay Sonza and four others.
Henry has worked for various United Nations (UN) projects -- including the annual report of the UN Population Fund, press releases of FAO, WHO, UNEP, UNICEF, UNESCO, and UNDP.
His most recent work was the book, "In Search of Excellence:
Exemplary Forest Management in Asia-Pacific Region," where he served as one of the four editors (Patrick Durst, American; Chris Brown, Australian; and Miyuki Ishikawa, Japanese). He was also the only Filipino to write a paper (as co-author of Don Hinrichsen, an American) in a book on water and population for Woodrow Wilson Center based in Washington, D.C. (where he presented the paper personally).
Henry also writes regularly for the Asian edition of the Reader's Digest.
He is also the contributing editor (Southeast Asia) of the online version of "People and the Planet" (www.peopleandplanet.net).
Henry has attended international conferences from all over the world. The only continent he has not visited yet is South America. He does not consider himself as a serious person infact those who know him think that he is a fun guy. And yes ladies, he is still very single.
