Report from Lalay Noel-Rispens

Dear fellow Bansalenos,

I am pleased to inform all of you that we will start the re-painting of the façade of the ABC Gym soon. We have already secured the Memorandum of Agreement signed by Mayor Arches. In this MOA, it is stated that ABW will take care of the materials and the Municipal Office will take care of the labor as there counterpart.

Painting of Facade and Entrance

The cemented part of the facade will be painted ivory/white instead of the original yellow.  The upper wood will be painted in taupe-beige combination in egg-shell or satin finish or semi-gloss. The color will not clash with that of the municipal hall's colors too.

I personally requested Mr. Kitoy Pansoy of the Engineer's Office to discuss our proposal re: changing of the paint with Engineer Batingal and Mayor Arches. Gladly, Engineer Batingal and Mayor Arches agreed. With their go signal, I will request Tata/Ana Marie of Kapatiran, our local partner to go ahead and buy the paint.

After the painting of the façade, the improvements of the restrooms follow.

There is a little hitch though. I was in Bansalan last June to supervise the construction of our small house in Bansalan. People were telling me that the prices of the construction materials have gone up. There is a danger that the money we raised would not be enough for the restroom or we just really have to do it within our limited budget.

However, I am appealing to those who have not yet sent their donation to the Give Back: Improve ABC Gym, to send their donations now. This is the moment you can show how much you still care of our hometown. Any amount is welcome. In this way, we can really do more.

Now is the best time to start the face-lifting of our gym. We all hope that it gets better in time for our Grand Reunion next year, or very early next year. We are still trying to set the exact date since our fellow Bansalenos in Germany could not make it on December 27.

Take care all of you. I hope this message brings joy to everyone. Aside from our Literacy Project which has been implemented thanks to the help of Ana Marie, Joevilt Villotes, Charlie Nique, Mrs, Sonza (sister in law of Tune), Chona's mother and the teachers of Bansalan Central Elementary School, Dolo Elementary School and Mabuhay Elementary School.
